The College of Engineering (COE) of First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities has endeavored to further strengthen its educational system to remain relevant in today’s highly competitive environment, and at the same time responsive to the needs of industry. To realize this, the COE recently restructured its academic philosophy to reflect what students should learn upon completing a program, and what they should attain a few years after graduation.
Shifting to Outcomes Based Education (OBE), the College is working on establishing its program objectives and student outcomes for its degree programs in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Industrial Engineering. OBE, in concrete terms, visualizes what students are expected to know and able to do by the time they complete their program. These outcomes include the skills, knowledge, and behaviors that should constitute the foundation of every COE student on which they will build their professional life.
The programs under the College of Engineering are designed to provide the student with a comprehensive academic foundation balanced with relevant, hands-on experience through a well-thought out on-the-job training program, exposure trips, and seminars.
