Contest Guidelines

  1. The contest is open to all Filipino artists from 16 years old and above; open to students, non-professional, and professional artists.
  2. All previous participants may still join the contest. Previous winners are not precluded from participating in the contest.
  3. A participant can only submit a single entry to the competition.
  4. Size of the artworks to be submitted must be 30 inches x 40 inches, landscape or horizontal in orientation, must be museum wrapped and or framed ready for hanging. Artworks must be signed and must be an original work which has never been exhibited before or presented in social media.
  5. The artwork should be figurative or representational and should be done in Oil, Acrylic, Pen and Ink or Mixed Media on Canvas. Abstract works are not allowed.
  6. The artworks should follow the theme “Bayani: Salamin ng Ating Lipunan” with the heroes serving as a reflection of the values, aspirations, struggles, and realities of Filipino Society. The artworks should depict heroism as manifested through courage, selflessness, compassion, resilience, and service to others. Bayani here could refer to recognized historical heroes. It could also refer to ordinary individuals/groups who make meaningful contributions to the community, society, and country. 
  7. Entries from far places could also be sent via mail or courier and must be addressed to Jessa Mae Valencia with the address 6/F PDCP Bank Center, Rufino corner Leviste Sts. Salcedo Village, Makati City, Philippines 1227, on or before 08 January 2027, until 5:00 pm. 
  8. The onsite submission of artworks will be at 10/F Apollo Function Rooms, The Sphere Serviced Residences (The Sphere Residence Hotel), 136 Valero, Makati City, 1227. Submission of entries starts at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.
  9. Kindly put the title, artist name, and medium of artwork, artist price (including gallery share of 30%), and artwork statement or narrative on a 5” x 8” white card or index card attached at the back of the artwork/ entry. In the absence of an artist price, Bintana Gallery may purchase the artist’s work at a default price of Php 6,000.00 to the artist.
  10. Kindly submit the affidavit certifying that the piece is an original work which has never been exhibited before or presented in social media; a photocopy of valid ID, and proof of age (to those who are 16 years old) together with your entry. Please download and accomplish the affidavit here. 
  11. Wet artworks will not be accepted.
  12. Artworks submitted with the wrong size would receive deductions to be decided by the contest committee.
  13. Non-winning artworks can be retrieved 90 days after the submission date at the office of First Asia Venture Capital (within walking distance from the submission venue.) A Retrieval Form will be given to the participants. The organizers are not responsible for sending the paintings back to the artists.
  14. Unretrieved entries 90 days after the submission are considered abandoned artworks. The organizers reserve the right to dispose of the artworks at its discretion.
  15. The organizers can facilitate sending back entries received by mail or courier, the courier fee shall be shouldered by the participant. A participant’s non-communication to the organizers pertaining to the sending back of their artwork will consider his/her artwork abandoned.

FORM – Composition, lighting, lines, form, color, texture – 30% 

CONTENT– Representation of theme – 30% 

Originality and style – 30%

Overall impact – 10% 

Total: 100 %

Selection of 15 National Finalists

  1. Pre-judging will be done on the submission day on 09 January 2027.
  2. The jurors will choose the 15 national finalists.
  3. The 15 National finalists will be the property of FAITH Colleges.

Awarding of Winners

  1. Pre-judging will be done on the submission day on 09 January 2027.
  2. The jurors will select and award the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner, together with the 12 Jurors’ Prize.
  3. The winners will be announced during the National Arts Month celebration in February 2027.

Prizes are as follows:

The awards and cash prizes are as follows: 

1st prize: Trophy, and Php 125,000 cash 

2nd Prize: Trophy, and Php 75,000 cash 

3rd Prize: Trophy, and Php 50,000 cash 

12 Jurors’ Prize: Medal and Php 15,000 cash each

  6.  Participants must express their intent to join the competition by accomplishing the Google Form until 15 November 2025.
  7. Entries from far places could also be sent via mail or courier and must be addressed to FAITH Colleges with the address 6/F PDCP Bank Center, Rufino corner Leviste Sts. Salcedo Village, Makati City 1227, on or before 05 December 2025, until 5:00 pm.

Retrieval of artworks is at First Asia Venture Capital, Inc., located at 6/F PDCP Bank Center, Rufino corner Leviste Sts. Salcedo Village, Makati City, 1227. Retrieval dates on the provided address are from 08 to 15 December 2025 and will resume on 09 January 2026 to 31 January 2026 only, excluding Saturdays and Sundays.
  15. While the organizers can facilitate sending back entries received by mail or courier, the courier fee shall be shouldered by the participant. A participant’s non-communication to the organizers pertaining to the sending back of their artwork will consider his/her artwork abandoned.

  3. The 15 finalists will be the property of FAITH Colleges.

Awarding of Winners

  1. Another set of judges will perform the final judging on 12 December 2025 in Makati City.
  2. The jurors will select and award the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers; FAITH Colleges’ President’s Award and Bintana Museum’s Choice; and the 10 Jurors’ Prize.
  3. Winners will be awarded again during the National Arts Month on 06 February 2026 at FAITH Colleges, #2 Pres. Laurel Highway, Darasa, Tanauan City, Batangas 4232. The winning pieces will be exhibited at FAITH Colleges from 06 February 2026 to 13 February 2026. Afterwards, it will be exhibited at Batangas Lakelands, Leviste Highway, Brgy. Malabanan, Balete, Batangas from 14 February 2026 to 28 February 2026.
  1. Winners will be announced during the celebration of National Arts Month in February 2026.
  2. The jurors will select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers and the 10 Jurors’ Prize.

Prizes

The awards and cash prizes are as follows: 

1st prize: Trophy, and Php 100,000 cash 

2nd Prize: Trophy, and Php 60,000 cash 

3rd Prize: Trophy, and Php 40,000 cash 

FAITH Colleges President’s Award: Trophy and Php 20,000 cash

Bintana Museum’s Choice: Trophy and Php 20,000 cash

10 Jurors’ Prize: Medal and Php 15,000 cash each
