FAITH COLLEGES’ desire to offer education with a human face finds its highest expression in the School of Humanities. Espousing the Institution’s core values of competence, commitment, and compassion, the School aims to be the center of excellence and innovation in the fields of Arts, Sciences, Education, and Nursing.

 

The three colleges under the School of Humanities are the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, and the College of Nursing.

College of Arts & Sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences provides the student with a strong liberal education. A liberal education program equips students with the breadth that characterizes a FAITH education. Breadth results from the assimilation of the content, utilization of different teaching approaches and infusion of diverse disciplines.

 

The First Asia Institute core curriculum is offered to all students through the general education program of the College of Arts and Sciences. The general education requirements elevate students to a proficiency level that prepares them to meet the challenges of their respective college curriculum, thus, allowing them to realize intellectual depth through their majors.

Programs

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PSYCHOLOGY

The FAITH Psychology program strongly adheres to the mission of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) – “to be a world-class community of psychologists committed to personal and professional growth, human service and social transformation.” Its curriculum design generally prepares the students to work in diverse fields.

Graduates will be technically competent in practice within the industrial and educational setting. Also, it aims to build foundational knowledge in clinical setting. The program prepares the graduates to contribute to the national development by applying their knowledge and skills across various areas where psychology practitioners are considered necessary. FAITH Psychology program continually hones graduates who will be Human Resource Practitioners, Training Specialist, Researchers, School/Education Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists. This PACUCOA Accredited program (Level III) has produced 41 Registered Psychometricians with topnotchers, while maintaining the above national passing rate in the past 3 years.

To effectively realize the specific objectives of the institution and of the program, the Psychology Department directly involves students in three key areas: (1) research, (2) on-the-job training, and (3) community extension and outreach programs. A strong liberal arts training is required to effectively mobilize human resources that support large scale industries in the province of Batangas and other key areas in the region. FAITH also supports the city government in its call for quality education by investing on competent teachers and state-of-the-art facilities.

College of Education

The College of Education is committed in producing job-ready educators who emerges with adaptability and educational advantage through learning in an experience-based and student-focused community. Graduates can pursue their career goals as teachers, administrators, nonprofit and community leaders, and as student support professionals in colleges and university campuses.

Programs

BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

This program is structured to meet the needs of professional teachers for elementary schools and special education programs in the Philippines. It aims to develop elementary school teachers who are either Generalists who can teach across the different learning areas in grade school, Special Education teachers and Pre-school teachers.

College of Allied Health Sciences

The College of Allied Health Sciences provides relevant and needs-based health care education and training to develop aspiring future health care practitioners who are resilient to the dynamics of the industry, socially responsible, and competent.

Programs

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

A four-year program consisting of general education and professional courses. Professional courses are threaded through from the first year thru the fourth year with emphasis on the nursing concepts with corresponding Related Learning Experiences (RLE). The BSN program provides an intensive practicum that will refine further the nursing competencies to ensure achievement of the BSN program outcomes and shapes the next generation of competent, compassionate, and committed nurses. A holistic education—comprising health, technology, and humanities—trains students to provide the best of patient care.

PRESTIGE

The BS Nursing Program of FAITH College of Allied Health Sciences prides itself on achieving a consistent 100% passing rate in the Nursing Licensure Exam. We are also the youngest nursing school to produce topnotchers—proof that we are in league with the nation’s leading nursing institutions.
